Score girl killed, student dies
JAKARTA (JP): A girl, who worked as a score girl at a billiards center, was stabbed to death yesterday in the defunct Kemayoran airport in Central Jakarta.
Central Jakarta Police Chief Lt. Col. M. Ibrahim said local residents found the victim, identified only as Net, lying on the ground with severe stab wounds to her stomach and chest.
"The victim's hands were tied with a belt. She was only wearing a black bra and blue jeans," Ibrahim said.
Police found a train ticket and a billiard ball in her purse.
The killer is still at large, Ibrahim said.
Also yesterday, police arrested three men for allegedly beating a 17-year-old student to death in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta.
North Jakarta Police Chief Lt. Col. Rismawan alleged the suspects picked up the victim, Rinto Situmorang, on Jl. Jati Waringin, Pondok Gede district, in Bekasi on Tuesday night.
"The men beat the victim in a van and dumped his body in the Kelapa Gading area," Rismawan said.
Police officers patrolling the area caught the suspects, he said.
Rinto died after being treated at the Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital. (jun)
