Science expo at Ancol Dreamland

JAKARTA (JP): Ancol Dreamland in North Jakarta is hosting a week-long exhibition featuring creative science projects, including a spaceship satellite made by students who took part in a science fair at the entertainment center.

The expo, which will last until this Sunday, involves about 9,000 students from junior high school up to university, according to the organizer.

It is part of the Dunia Fantasi (Fantasy World) Science Festival, which is running from March 31 to Aug. 26.

Visitors can also join any of the six science contests with Rp 45.5 million in prizes to be won in the categories of home design, parody caricatures, photos, music, recycling and physics and math quizzes.

A number of government and private institutes are also involved in the exhibition.
