Schering pays dividend

JAKARTA (JP): The annual shareholders meeting of PT Schering-
Plough Indonesia, a company of discovery, development and
marketing of human pharmaceutical and healthcare products,
announced a 40 percent increase in its final dividend from Rp 250
per share for 1992 operation to Rp 350 per share for 1993
operation.

At the meeting, The company's president Philip A. Townsend
reported 1993 sales growth of 32 percent to Rp 25.2 billion
(US$11.67 million) and the net earnings growth of 42 percent to
Rp 3.45 billion ($1.59 million).

Return on shareholders equity in 1993 reached 33 percent, one
of the highest of all companies in the Jakarta Stock
Exchange.(yns)
