Scavenger dies in territory dispute

JAKARTA (JP): Police arrested a scavenger Saturday for killing
another scavenger in Meruya Ilir, West Jakarta.

A West Jakarta Police precinct sergeant said Iwan stabbed
Ramlan in the stomach and ran when the victim fell.

He said a local rushed Ramlan to a hospital. "But he died on
the way to the hospital," the sergeant said.

Police arrested the suspect at a house near the scene on Jl.
Duri Kepa, West Jakarta, two hours after the incident.

The officer said Iwan was involved in quarrel with Ramlan on
Friday over scavenging territory.

The suspect got angry and took revenge, the officer said.
