Satelindo saga

I have been a subscriber to the Satelindo GSM phone system since the beginning of this year. My phone was obtained through a Bank Bali promotional scheme. Since the billing system of Satelindo changed some time in the middle of this year, certain invoices during this period make absolutely no sense. The subscriber is eventually either forced to accept the charge or throw away the card, stop paying bills or subscribe to a new service.

I believe I was wrongly invoiced during the month of August- September for the sum of Rp 320,302. On many occasions, I have contacted Satelindo's customer service department by phone, fax and registered mail letters, but have received no response.

Bank Bali's customer service, which is more efficient than Satelindo's, has tried to be of assistance, but all they have been able to obtain is an invoice for the abovementioned amount.

But they are unable to provide the detailed or itemized phone charges I have been billed for. After clearly trying umpteen times, it seems Bank Bali has also given up by claiming that the itemized billing does not exist and Satelindo is unable to provide a copy.

In all sincerity, I doubt this invoice numbered 000092339-1, because the very next month, on invoice 0001249753-3 for Rp 764,214, I have been invoiced for the same period for the sum of Rp 320,302.

There seems to be no way to pursue this matter as Satelindo is turning a deaf ear, and Bank Bali can only apologize and pass on their regrets as they are unable to do anything.

To whom does one turn? Satelindo obviously does not understand the term customer service, and this particular department in its corporate structure is a farce.
