Sadistic killers sent to jail

PADANG, West Sumatra: Two young men were found guilty by the
local district court yesterday for the sadistic murder of
12-year-old Wulanda last October, Antara reported.

The news agency said 18-year-old Martin Sumitra received 20
years in jail while 24-year-old Amrizal alias Andi Bocah got 15
years for their part in the killing. A third man, 25-year-old
Andi Gaek who was tried separately, previously received a 15-year
sentence.

The three men had gone into Wunda's house with the intention
to rob, thinking that the house was empty, the court was told.
When they found Wunda alone in the house, they stabbed and
tortured her. What eventually killed her was strangulation by
wire, which was carried out by Martin. (emb)
