S. Jakarta to hold Mayor Tennis Cup

The South Jakarta mayoralty administration will hold a tennis
competition from July 18 to 24, an official said yesterday.

Dicky Rusito, acting chief of the organizing committee, said
the competition will be held to select the players who will
represent the mayoralty in the Governor's Cup, which will be
staged the following week.

He said that only Indonesian nationals are eligible to
participate in the competition, which is named Mayor Cup of 1994.
The aspiring participants must be South Jakarta residents, above
13 years of age and not members of the national tennis team.

"Those interested may register with the mayor's office until
July 15," Dicky said .

The committee is offering Rp 5 million in total cash prizes.
