Ruwiyati to run in Singapore

SEMARANG (JP): National women's marathon runner Ruwiyati of Salatiga, Central Java, will run in the Singapore International Marathon on Dec. 3.

"As the defending champion, Ruwiyati will try to retain her title at the event. We are optimistic that Ruwiyati will win again," coach Alwi Mugiyanto said on Friday.

Alwi named runners from Malaysia, India and China as Ruwiyati's strongest rivals in the event. (har)
