Russian delegation visits Indonesia

JAKARTA: A Russian delegation, led by the first deputy
director of the Federal Security Service of the Russian
Federation, Sergei M Smirnov, is visiting Indonesia from Sept. 13
to Sept. 17.

A statement from the Russian Embassy said on Tuesday that
during the visit, Smirnov would sign an intergovernmental
agreement on the mutual protection of classified information.

He is also slated to have consultations with Indonesian
officials on bilateral military ties and technical cooperation,
as well as exchange views on efforts to combat international
terrorism. --Antara
