Rugby and real man
I refer to Mr Sawrey-Cookson's letter (June 3, 1995). Playing Rugby doesn't mean "to be a real man". A "real man" is one who is plucky enough to uphold what he stands for.
I've shown Mr Cookson's letter (May 23, 1995) to many Indonesian friends and they felt themselves very offended by its contents.
Even though I'm sure I've no complexes, either of inferiority or superiority ("we" don't suffer from such a disease), I'll follow Mr Cookson's suggestion and consult a psychiatrist.
Mr Cookson, what can I do if I don't like Rugby and I consider it as a violent riot? I propose an arrangement to you: I'll leave the "gentle giants" to you. I'll never interfere in Rugby's technics and tactics, provided that when we deal with soccer you'll keep silent and you'll learn what I have to teach you.
