JAKARTA: Transportation and logistics service provider, the RPX Group has signed an agreement for a joint partnership operation with state-owned warehouse provider PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa (BGR).

The agreement, which was signed last Friday, will allow RPX to expand its warehouse network to 15 cities across the country, the company said in a statement on Friday.

Under the agreement, RPX can access 400 different BGR-owned warehouse facilities located in numerous cities in the country, including Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Solo, Surabaya, Medan, Padang, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Denpasar, Banjarmasin, Ujung Pandang, Palu and Ambon.

"With BGR's vast warehousing area of 400,000 square meters, and its capability to manage logistics of up to one million cubic meters, RPX will be able to increase significantly its network and logistics management capability for customers," the firm said in a statement.

BGR has been operating for more than 26 years. It first managed fertilizer transportation from ports to cooperatives across the country. It later diversified its business to include warehouse service management, urban warehousing, customs affairs and cargo consolidation. -- JP
