Rp 33m stolen from firm employee

TANGERANG (JP): Two unidentified men stole Rp 33.5 million
(US$4,187) in cash from an employee of private insurance company
PT Asuransi Jiwa Adi Sarana Wanaartha on Tuesday.

The victim, Iskandar, said the thieves smashed his car window
and stole the money.

"I just left my car for about five minutes in the parking lot.
It happened very quickly," Iskandar said

He said the money was supposed to be used to pay the rent on a
shop-house in Taman Pabuaran complex. His company planned to move
into the shop-house from its present premises on Jl. Beringin in
Karawaci.

He said he arrived at the complex at about 12:15 p.m., left
his car in the parking lot and had a conversation with the shop-
house owner, Cimfoni.

Iskandar was shocked when he returned to his car and found the
money was missing.

Witnesses said that two men were hanging around and watching
Iskandar's car. They saw the men escape on a motorcycle soon
after grabbing the money.

Tangerang Police are still investigating the matter. (41/jun)
