Rosary prayer cassettes

After attending a mass on May 14 at Jakarta Cathedral, as usual I stopped by at the church's bookstore. Usually a Catholic church has a bookstore run by the church. After buying several books, I arrived at the cassette section. Glancing around, my eyes stopped at a series of three cassettes packed neatly in plastic with a small thin book. I could not help but take a closer look and found it was a pack of three cassettes containing complete rosary prayers for glorious mystery (cassette 1), joyful mystery (cassette 2) and sorrowful mystery (cassette three). I decided to buy one set which cost me Rp 35,000, not expensive for the package.

Finding such cassettes is not easy. Before I found this one incidentally, never had I seen rosary prayers on cassette. This month, May, is the month of Mary for Catholics. Catholics are supposed to perform rosary prays more intensively this month. Thanks to Snadha Produktama and Institut Liturgi Sang Kristus Indonesia (no address and phone numbers are given on the cassette cover) for producing the cassettes. I personally find them very useful.

It would be very helpful if the producer could produce the cassettes not only in Bahasa Indonesia but also in Bahasa Jawa (Javanese) considering majority of Catholics are Javanese. An English version might be considered as well.

In addition, I find that the cassettes lack promotion. Even though the cassettes are for a limited audience, in this case for Catholics only, promotion should be done. Not many Catholics are aware of the availability of these cassettes.
