Robbery in Bogor

BOGOR (JP): Several unidentified men broke into a house in Cibinong district, Bogor regency, early on Friday and made way with Rp 2 million in cash, a motorcycle and several electronic goods.

The house owner, Tekun, 34, who also owns a building material shop, said that at about 2:30 a.m. some men, claiming to be members of the neighborhood security who were on night watch, knocked at the door and asked for coffee.

"I didn't know any of them so I asked them to leave. However, I heard somebody breaking in through the back door, and some of the men dashed into my house and ordered me and my wife to surrender," Tekun said at the Cibinong Police station.

His child and two younger sisters were then herded into the living room by the robbers where they were tied together with plastic rope and then pushed into the bathroom.

They then stole all the goods in the house and escaped, Tekun said. (21/sur)
