Robbers wound security guards

BOGOR: Two security guards of Taman Sari Persada housing in Kedung Badak subdistrict in Tanah Sareal, Bogor, were seriously wounded as five robbers attacked them with sickles during a pre- dawn robbery on Friday.

M. Toha, 40, and Mujahidin, 23, were attacked as they, along with a colleague, Bagito, tried to prevent the robbery of an empty house in the housing estate.

Adj. Sr. Comr. Setyo Wasisto, chief of the Bogor Police resort, said that the robbers lived near the area and they even knew the security guards. Police have arrested two of the robbers; the other three are still at large. --JP
