Robbers strike woman's breast

JAKARTA (JP): A 27-year old woman was struck by a sickle on her left breast early on Friday morning by one of the four men who robbed her home on Jl. Wijaya III, in the Gandaria Utara area of South Jakarta.

The woman, identified as Puspita, 27, had accidentally come face to face with the robbers at her residence, but suddenly one surprised robber struck her chest.

The robbers then warned her not to make a move. They completed the robbery, then took off," City Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Anton Bachrul Alam told reporters on Friday.

They stole a TV set, a VCD player and a cellphone. Puspita's family were too scared to lodge a complaint. It was their neighbor who informed the police about the robbery. (ylt)
