Robbers steal cash from passengers

JAKARTA: Two men carrying knives robbed a public minivan driver, Herman, and his two passengers, Firman and Sri Sulastri, onboard Gandaria-Kampung Melayu route in Ciracas, East Jakarta, on Friday morning.

The robbers took Rp 550,000 (US$ 60.44) from Herman and Rp 350,000 in cash from Firman and Sri Sulastri, who were powerless. The men then fled toward Gudang Air area.

Police reported that Herman's minivan was passing on Jl. Raya Bogor from Kampung Melayu direction when the two men onboard suddenly pointed knives at the driver and the two passengers.
