Robbers shoot two residents

BEKASI: Six armed men mistakenly entered a rented house occupied by Jimmy Kisan, 48, who was watching a live soccer match with his neighbor Feri, 20, in the early hours of Friday morning, asking for the keys of a near-new Kijang minivan parked outside.

However, the car owner, Alex Kisan, lived next door with his wife, Syeni. Hearing the commotion in his neighbors, Alex became alarmed and tried to flee the house as three of the robbers broke the front door in, while the others waited outside on three motorcycles.

The robbers, who were armed, shot Alex in the behind, but Alex kept on shouting to alert the neighbors.

The robbers then decided to beat a retreat, firing at a group of residents of Jl. Cempaka II, Jatibening, Pondok Gede district, who were approaching Alex's house. Hazizah, who was holding her baby, was shot in the leg.

According to Alex, the robbers were armed with automatic pistols.
