Robbers make off with sensitive data

BOGOR: The Bogor branch of insurance company PT Asuransi Jiwasraya had to suspend operations after they were robbed of two computers containing sensitive information on clients early on Wednesday morning.

Security guard Oman Sulaeman told Central Bogor Police the robbery took place at about 4 a.m. after five robbers found their way into the office by smashing the gate's padlock and breaking down the front door.

The culprits ran off with two computers, one fax machine, one TV, one radio, one CD player and one clocking-in machine.

Two other employees, Maskur and Bahtiarsyah, were asleep at the office and only found out about the robbery at 6:30 a.m. when they woke up to find Oman tied up. --JP
