RI's investment in Vietnam

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia ranks as the seventh largest investor in Vietnam with a total investment of US$2.4 billion, the Indonesian ambassador to the country, Djafar H. Assegaf said.

The Indonesian embassy in Vietnam said in a press release, which was made available to Antara here over the weekend, that about 70 percent the investments were made in northern part of the country.

According to the press release, the Indonesian property company Ciputra Group is the biggest investor in Vietnam with a total investment of US$ 2.1 billion to build a satellite town near the country's capital city.

To boost exports and investments, a trade exhibition called "Promotion of Indonesia's Trade, Business and Tourism" will be held from March 20 to 23 in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. (bnt)
