Rides and attractions that thrill
The still expanding Hong Kong Disneyland has four zones: Main Street USA; Adventureland; Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
A replica of small-town America in the 1890s, Main Street USA comprises city hall -- an information and lost-and-found counter -- the Disneyland Fire Department offering baby strollers and wheelchairs to rent, and Main Street Station to catch a train ride around the park.
An array of shops and restaurants also line the street, where parades are held in the afternoon.
In Adventureland, park visitors can enjoy the amazing musical Festival of the Lion King in the Theater in the Wild, and the Jungle River Cruise.
With the futuristic air of cities in sci-fi movies, Tomorrowland takes visitors for a roller-coaster ride in the dark on the ever-popular Space Mountain. Visitors can also test their aim in the Toy Story-inspired Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, firing laser cannons to beat off space invaders.
Still under construction, Autopia will allow visitors to get behind the wheel of pint-sized electric vehicles and navigate through an "alien" landscape.
Fantasyland is where Disney's magic stardust came from, with Wishing Well, Cinderella Carousel and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh for children. The centerpiece, of course, is the Sleeping Beauty Castle, which is lit up every night with the choreographed fireworks that close the park for the day -- and which always succeed in awing visitors.
And don't miss the 3D computer-generated, animated musicals, Mickey's PhilharMagic and The Golden Mickey.
