Ricky, Maman fail to help 'BOLA'

JAKARTA (JP): Former national soccer players Ricky Yacobi and Maman Suryaman failed to show any glimmer of their heyday flair in The Jakarta Post 18th anniversary soccer tournament on Friday.

Instead, their team BOLA sports tabloid was ousted from the quarterfinals by Hilton Hotel 4-2.

In the second match, Kompas and Ogilvy tied 1-1 before a penalty shoot out that saw Kompas victorious 4-3.

Kompas will face BOLA in the semifinals on Saturday while the other battle for a finals berth will be fought out between GO and RCTI. (yan)
