RI veterans head ASEAN bridge meet

JAKARTA (JP): The Henky Lasut and Eddy Manoppo duo will again
lead Indonesia's charge in this year's Association of Southeast
Asian Nations (ASEAN) interclub bridge championships in Bangkok,
Thailand, in October.

Besides the veteran pair, Indonesia will also be represented
by the teams of Jongen Maury/Ch. Nurhamidin and J. Tirayoh/R.
Lempoy. All these players are from Volta Manado, the country's
strongest bridge club, Antara reported yesterday.

Volta failed to retain the championship trophy, Soeharto's
Cup, in Manila last year. (arf)
