RI universities to visit U.S.

SEMARANG: Representatives of 50 universities from Indonesia and the United States will hold a meeting from April 28 to 30 in Washington to boost cooperation in improving the quality of education.

Eko Budihardjo, rector of Diponegoro University in Semarang, Central Java, said on Sunday that Indonesia's delegation would include Minister of National Education A. Malik Fajar and Director General for Higher Learning Institutions Satrio Soemantri Brojonegoro, while the U.S. delegation would include Jack Bresman of Columbia University and Earl Kellog of the University of Illinois. -- Antara
