RI to host corn expo

JAKARTA (JP): About 100 companies from China, Argentina, the United States, South Korea and Ukraine are to participate in an international corn exhibition here from Sept. 25 to Sept. 28, focusing on agricultural equipment, the showcase's organizer said Saturday.

Robert Felix, director of PT Emerald Reksa Gemilang, the organizer of the exhibition, told reporters that the companies would promote the technology adopted for their corn peelers, dryers, packaging tools and other corn-related machinery during the exhibition, which is sponsored by the China Committee of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The committee's secretary general, Chris D. Walean, said a corn seminar would also be held to coincide with the exhibition. (13)
