RI to buy gas-fueled buses

JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Transportation Haryanto Dhanutirto
has invited the French car-maker Renault to bid for the supply of
700 gas-fueled buses in Indonesia next year.

"We will participate in the tender for the supply of the gas-
fueled buses," said Renault's technical director Jean Pierre
Forret, as reported by Antara over the weekend.

Haryanto said that before buying and operating 700 gas-fueled
buses next year, Indonesia will buy 50 such buses for a
feasibility study.

The transportation minister will proceed to Frankfurt airport,
Bremen port and Papenburg dockyard, where he is to attend a
ceremony for the delivery of a passenger ship to Indonesia's
state-owned shipping company PT Pelni. (13)
