RI students studying in Holland
Minister of Education and Culture Wardiman Djojonegoro is to open on May 1, 1997, a seminar titled Quality, Accreditation and Diversity in Higher Education in The Netherlands and Indonesia.
The seminar will signal the formal start of the Netherlands Education Center in Indonesia and the opening of its representative office in Jakarta.
The seminar also signals the opening day of Education and Training Expo '97 at the Jakarta Convention Center.
During the expo, the education center, in close cooperation with its members, will provide information at the Dutch Pavilion about the study opportunities and courses available in the Netherlands to potential Indonesian students.
Embassy staff will be on hand to explain immigration procedures.
No other continental European country offers such a wide choice of English-taught higher-education programs, with courses (over 350) ranging from Airline Pilot Training to an MBA in Information Technology and Management.
The seminar will include distinguished speakers from Indonesia and the Netherlands, who will clarify the quality control methods and practices of the systems used in the two countries and demonstrate the importance attached to a well-functioning model for quality control and accreditation of courses and institutions.
The Netherlands Education Center will welcome all interested parties to the seminar, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 5200453 for further information.
Those unable to attend the seminar are invited to visit the Dutch Pavilion, which will be open for the public from May 1 to May 6, 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. at the Jakarta Convention Center.
