RI shoe makers to visit Italy
JAKARTA: The Italian Trade Commission in Jakarta is organizing the visit of a delegation of Indonesian businessmen to a footwear and leather goods technology exhibit in Italy later this month.
The International Technology Exhibition of Machines and Technologies for Footwear and Leather Goods Industries (SIMAC) will be held from April 27 to April 30 in Bologna, the commission said in a statement on Wednesday.
The commission will provide selected Indonesian companies involved in footwear, footwear components and leather goods businesses with airfare tickets, accommodation and transportation during their stay in Italy.
In organizing the visit, the commission is coordinating with the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Directorate of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and the Indonesian Footwear Association (Aprisindo).
