RI, Iran agree to up flights
JAKARTA: Indonesia and Iran agreed on Saturday to boost cooperation in civil aviation to facilitate and increase flights linking the two countries.
The agreement was part of a document signed by Indonesian Minister of Communications Agum Gumelar and Iranian Minister of Telecommunication and Technology Sayyed Ahmad Mo'tamedi.
Witnessing the signing of the document were Indonesian Minister of Forestry Mohammad Prakosa, Director General of Industrial Cooperation and International Trade Pos M. Hutabarat and officials from the two countries.
A 24-strong Iranian delegation attended the 8th Joint Indonesian-Iranian Commission Meeting from April 29 to April 30.
Total non-oil and gas trade between the two countries in 2002 reached a total value of US$193.8 million. -- Antara
