RI infected with corruption

Corruption is the most dangerous disease in the world. The cause of this disease is a nasty germ that can inflict terrible harm on anyone who contracts it.

Corruptors can behave worse than an animal. An animal is greedy, but a corruptor is greedier than they are. Animals are wild and cruel. Corruptors are more wild and more cruel, because corruptors are heartless. If a lion eats meat, then corruptors, besides meat, also eat sand, oil, wood, etc.

People say that corruption is more dangerous than narcotics. It is true! The victim of narcotics is the person who directly takes narcotics. But corruption's victims are the little people, the masses who know nothing.

The masses are never directly involved with corruptors -- they only get the impact of the corruption. The poor become poorer and live in misery. Food, wood, oil and all else are exploited. Very little -- or nothing at all -- is left for the 200 million little people. Even jobs are exceedingly scarce and many have lost their jobs or have been laid off.

Our President once said that "corruptors should be shot, as they violated human rights". Harsh measures should be applied to corruptors. The law should not only be to keep the masses in line. Imagine -- mobs burn a person to death for stealing pettier things like goats and chickens.

I cannot see the logic in how a person who has been convicted in a corruption case can be nominated as a presidential candidate. Unfortunately, we have no power to eliminate corruption, collusion or nepotism. Who were the victims of the flash flood in Bahorok? Again, the small people.

The disease of corruption has spread throughout Indonesia. So we need a strong leader, a strong nationalist like our first president, president Sukarno, and an honest and clean leader like our first vice president, Mohammad Hatta.
