RI firms to join WoodmacAsia
JAKARTA (JP): At least 32 Indonesian companies have signed up to participate in the up-coming woodworking exhibition called WoodmacAsia2001 in Singapore, the event organizer said.
"The Indonesian woodworking industry has been a firm supporter of WoodmacAsia," Vicki Lim of Singapore Exhibition Services said at a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday.
A biennial event, WoodmacAsia showcases companies providing woodworking machinery and suppliers for the woodworking industry.
It will be held in tandem with FurnitekAsia2001 which showcases the furniture industry.
Some 800 companies and 12 groups from around the world have confirmed their participation in the two events to be held at the Singapore Expo exhibition center from September 4 to 7.
"WoodmacAsia in Singapore serves as a focal point for international manufacturers, especially from Europe, to meet and forge networks with the Southeast Asian industry,"
The four-day exhibition will also feature a two-day international seminar aimed at identifying the region's emerging markets for the timber trade and furniture exports. (03)
