RI crude output slips to 1.12 mln bpd
JAKARTA: Indonesia's crude oil production edged down to 1.12 million barrels per day (bpd) in April from 1.13 million bpd in March, industry sources said on Sunday.
"Production in several fields is declining but in several other fields it is slightly higher. April output is 1.12 million bpd," one source said.
He said condensate production also fell, hitting 137,000 bpd in April compared with 144,000 bpd in March.
Another source said Caltex Pacific Indonesia -- Indonesia's biggest oil contractor that accounts for about half the country's oil output -- produced about 616,000 bpd in April.
Caltex, owned by Chevron Texaco, produced 610,000 bpd in March. Indonesia, Asia's only OPEC member, has a quota of 1.125 million bpd from the cartel. --Reuters--
