RI, Australia set ties

JAKARTA (JP): Australia and Indonesia are developing
cooperation in a widening range of industrial and technological
areas.

Australian Charge d'Affairs Tony Hely said here yesterday that
Indonesia's Agency for Strategic Industries (BPIS) has formed a
"framework agreement" to cooperate in aerospace technology with
the Australian Department of Defense.

Hely was speaking in a seminar entitled "Perspectives for the
Future: Aerospace Industry Joint Venture Development Management,
Maintenance and Training." (hdj)
