RI-Australia forum in Bali

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesia-Australia Business Council (IABC)
and its sister organization the Australia-Indonesia Business
Council will jointly host the one-day business forum, "Turning
Crisis into Opportunity", in Bali on Feb. 23.

IABC's president Sabam Siagian said forum participants would
be briefed by officials and experts on the latest developments in
Indonesia's economic and political outlook, privatization and
bilateral business opportunities.

"The operating environment in Indonesia is undergoing rapid
changes," Siagian said in a statement.

"Business executives should take this chance to keep
themselves apprised of new trade and investment opportunities,
network among peers and present their ideas to leading business
figures and government leaders."

Speakers include Australian Minister for Agriculture,
Fisheries and Forestry Mark Vaile, Indonesian Ambassador to
Australia Wiryono Sastrohandoyo and Australian Ambassador to
Indonesia John McCarthy. (jsk)
