Reza releases new album

JAKARTA: Reza Artamevia wants to be remembered as a legend. "I want to sing for as long as I can so that one day I will be categorized as a legend," the wife of famed actor Adji Massaid said.

Soon she will release her third album, titled Kepastian (certainty) where she sings 11 songs, including Persembahan (tribute), an old song by Dhany Ahmad -- pop group Dewa's frontman, songwriter, and producer.

"I've sung the song before, but because Dhany had promised it to Denada, she got to sing it (in her album). But I liked the song, so now I'm releasing it in mine," the mother of two said to reporters recently.

Reza, who says that she definitely wants a third child, explained that the new album was expected to come out in December, and that she hoped the songs would have a long lifespan.

"Others choose one song over all the remaining songs to become an album's hit, but I want all my songs to be hits," Reza said, explaining that quality was her main concern and the reason why there was often more than two years between her albums.--JP
