In response to the complaint from Mr. Suryadi S.M. (Kompas,
Aug. 28), we would like to explain that as a producer, we
continually keep a close watch over the expiration dates of our
products that are almost due.
Two months before the expiration date, our products are
gradually withdrawn from the market through our distributors,
retailers and agents. Shop owners are expected to exchange their
stock of expired products for new ones at the agent from which
they bought the stock.
It is a pity you did not mention your home address or the
shop's. Thus, we are unable to make a site check and process a
replacement for the expired Indomie.
We will continue, however, to monitor our products in the
field.
We advise you to exchange expired products at the shop where
you bought them, so they may then be replaced by newer products
from our agents and retailers.
