Resort Bali number one in SE Asia
JAKARTA (JP): The United States' Gourmet magazine has named the Four Seasons Resort Bali in Jimbaran bay one of the top 25 hotels around the world and the Southeast Asian winner.
The resort's director of public relations, Julia Gajcak, said yesterday the resort also received outstanding scores in eight additional subcategories.
Gourmet's readers were asked to rate their favorite hotels, resorts, inns and bed and breakfasts according to the quality of their rooms, service, setting, restaurants, fitness centers, pools and their suitability for business trips, family vacations and romantic rendezvous.
The poll did not offer a list of hotel names, increasing the likelihood of readers' selections being true favorites.
The Four Seasons Resort Bali is managed by Canada-based Four Seasons-Regent Hotels and Resorts.
The resort came first in the following categories: room, room service, romance and honeymoon, pool and casual dining. It came second in service, fourth in setting and fifth in elegant dining.
Gajcak said Four Seasons-Regent Hotels and Resorts would open a second resort in Sayan, Ubud, in Bali on Sept. 15. (icn)
