Research on ancestors

I am a German artist from France and staying here in Jakarta, working on a book project about two ancestors of mine. They lived in Batavia (now Jakarta) and Palembang in the 19th century.

My great-great-great-grandfather Carl Wilhelm Reinhard Voigt came to Batavia in 1836. He was working as a doctor for the Dutch health service. He then went to Palembang where he met an indigenous woman named Djinio, with whom he lived and had two daughters, Elise Philippine Bertha (born in 1843) and Maria Theodora (born in 1845). The family moved back to Batavia in the 1840s. Voigt worked at the Weltevreden Hospital.

He returned to Europe in 1857, taking the daughters with him. Djinio seems to have stayed in Indonesia.

If any reader happened to know anything about Voigt and Djinio or might be able to give me a hint where to continue my research, I would be grateful if you could contact me: Jakob Gautel, c/o Centre Culturel Francais (Pusat Kebudayaan Prancis), Jl.
