Research grant available on fine art
YOGYAKARTA: Yogyakarta-based Cemeti Art Foundation is offering a research grant of Rp 10 million in a bid to boost research and writing activities on fine art in Indonesia.
According to the foundation's project officer Agung Kurniawan, in a release made available to The Jakarta Post, university graduates and/or those with experience in a solo research activity could apply for the grant that will be given to only a single winner.
Interested people are required to send an application letter to Tuhfah Yayasan Seni Cemeti and enclose a CV, a passport size photograph and three copies of the results of a previous research project.
The letter should be sent to the Cemeti Art Foundation, Attention: Utari Dewi Narwanti on Jl. Patehan Tengah No. 37 Yogyakarta 55133 (phone: 0274-375247, fax: 0274-372005) by Aug. 22, 2003 at the latest.
"A team of jurors will conduct the selection from Aug. 25 to Sept. 12, 2003 and will announce the result on Sept. 15, 2003," Agung Kurniawan said. He added the research and writing activities were scheduled for October 2003 to March 2004. -- JP
