Research center LP3ES

It was with great interest that I read the article on the 30th
anniversary of the Institute for Social and Economic Research,
Education and Information (LP3ES) under the title Thirty-year-
old research center, first home of famed scholars by Rikza
Abdullah, in The Jakarta Post, Aug. 28, 2001.

I was however surprised to read that M. Jusuf Ronodipuro is a
businessman. To the best of my knowledge, Mr. Ronodipuro, was a
civil servant with the now defunct ministry of information.
