Renovation expo to be held next month
JAKARTA: A Renovation Expo will be held in Jakarta from April 4 to 6 to help Jakartans to deal with property damage caused by the annual flooding during rainy seasons.
"We'll organize this expo to focus on the public's need for renovation of their property. This will be the second after we held a similar event last year," said Jessica V. Schwarze, the business development manager of PT Panorama Convex, which organizes the exhibition.
Jessica said over the weekend that the expo would not only cover renovation of houses but also other property, including apartments.
She said some 150 companies, which deal with property and property renovation, will take part in the exhibition at the Jakarta Convention Center, Central Jakarta. Some 60,000 people are expected to visit the exhibition.
Jessica added that last year's event had 89 firms with about 50,000 visitors.
She said that last year many people had to renovate their houses, which were seriously damaged by the huge floods, the worst in many years.
"This year's flood also hit Jakarta and caused damage to many houses and other properties here," she said. "The renovation expo will help them to repair the damage or to renovate their houses."--JP
