Relief aid held up
Relief aid held up
BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: Almost half of the relief aid
intended for victims of February's major earthquake in West
Lampung has not been disbursed, Lampung Governor Poedjono
Pranyoto said.
Poedjono said that of the Rp 10.3 billion (US$4.9 million)
collected, only Rp 6.2 has been distributed, the Antara news
agency reported.
The governor said the delay is caused partly because of
problems in the field, noting that the aid is also intended for
the reconstruction of houses, clinics and mosques that were
devastated by the quake.(11)
