Regulate the traffic!

From Neraca

Traffic congestion on Jl. Raya Meruya is an everyday scene. This is caused by the inflow of vehicles hailing from Ciledug and its surroundings. A long line of cars is formed right from the campus of Mercu Buana University to the Meruya Ilir crossroads.

What makes the situation worse is that many drivers, particularly drivers of public transport vehicles like Metromini buses, take up the other half of the road which is supposed to be used by vehicles coming from the opposite direction, simply because fewer cars pass on that side. They seem to use the other lane freely as there are no policemen to stop them from doing so.

It is time the police took necessary measure to regulate the traffic and make all road users obey the rules by patiently staying in line to ensure a smooth and convenient flow.
