Regulate bus rental

Many drivers are reluctant to pick up school children and students simply because they pay the old fare of Rp.100, while the government has increased the bus fare for the general public.

This is depressing. The government has given the company the right to raise fares, but it is not fair for the drivers to refuse to pick up school children and students for commercial reasons. Drivers may have their own reasons: for example, they have a hard time covering the daily rental of the bus to the owners. But they must also consider the interests of the young people.

Therefore the government as well as Organda (Land Transport Organization) should try to address this problem. In my opinion, to reduce the burden of drivers, the government and/or Organda should regulate the rental charges paid by the drivers, instead of allowing the companies to arbitrarily increase the rent.
