Regent to open new hotel

JAKARTA (JP): Four Seasons Regent, an international hotel operator, will open a new hotel in Sayan, Bali, in the second quarter of next year.

The company said yesterday that the 46-room property -- which will be its third hotel in Indonesia -- will provide a hillside retreat for travelers wishing to explore Bali's artistic and cultural center of Ubud.

"With the recent opening of the Regent Jakarta and the three- year-old Four-Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, the new resort in Sayan signifies our commitment in the world's fastest growing region," said Regent International Hotel's president, Wolf Hengst.

Four Seasons Regent Hotels and Resorts, which claims to be the world's largest operator of luxury hotels, currently manages 38 hotels in 17 countries under the names of Four Seasons and Regent.

The annual "gold list" in Conde Nast Traveler magazine's January edition this year listed the company's Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay as one of the highest-rated properties in the world. (13)
