Reason behind movements

It is to be deplored the way the elite circle is quick to label someone or some NGO members as having a similar manner of operations with the defunct communist party, as experienced by the suspected "leftist" Democratic People's Party. Such an allegation is a real blow to anyone.

I agree with Riswandha Imawan's argument in your Sept. 13 Insight Why are we so suspicious of one another? Every movement (in whatever manner it is conducted) must have some reason behind it. By knowing the reason, correct action can be taken or suitable remedies can used to cure the nation's ills. Many people want to see substantial change to match the progress. And the people's demands must be appropriately addressed, with open- mindedness.
