Really odd
I always enjoy reading about a good penis chopping. From the number of times they are reported in the "This Odd World" column, it would appear that incidents of male member mutilation are on the rise, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. Recently I have noticed a new trend: self-mutilation. That's really odd.
However, I felt thoroughly cheated by your March 17 article, as I'm sure other readers did, too. This was no full-blown lopping off, but merely an attempt at a lop-off. The fact that the story behind this attempt was so mundane -- merely that of a jealous wife -- only added to my disappointment.
I would like to suggest that The Jakarta Post reserve its reporting of such incidents to really outlandish penis choppings. I'm sure that other readers share similar sentiments to mine.
