`RCTI' to show film on police
The privately-owned television station RCTI will screen a film series about police life beginning on Sept. 17.
Lt. Col. Latief Rabar, a spokesman for city police, said over the weekend that RCTI is scheduled to broadcast the series once a week.
"We have completed nine episodes for the first phase," said Latief, adding that more episodes were being planned.
He said the film featured the life of policemen conducting investigations into major criminal cases.
The series, which is entitled Pedang Keadilan (Sword of Justice), is directed by Agus Melaz, who is better known as an actor.
Around 23 police officers, including several policewomen, along with several well-known action movie stars, including Advent Bangun, star in the television series. (jsk)
