'RCTI' to air 16 F1 races

JAKARTA (JP): The private TV network RCTI will broadcast live and delayed Formula One races from 16 countries and cities, a spokeswoman said on Thursday.

Linda Wahyudi said that RCTI was given the rights to broadcast live all the 16 races.

"For the broadcasting of the races, Lucky Strike will be our main sponsor. We will also present daily 30-minute highlights of ongoing races from 11 to 11:30 p.m.," Linda said.

The 16 races will be held in Australia (March 7), Brazil (April 11), San Marino (May 2), Monaco (May 16), Spain (May 30), Canada (June 13), France (June 27), England (July 11), Austria (July 25), Germany (Aug. 1), Hungary (Aug. 15), Belgium (Aug. 29), Italy (Sept. 12), Luxembourg (Sept. 26), Malaysia (Oct. 17) and Japan (Oct. 24).
