Raytheon to join air show
JAKARTA (JP): Raytheon International, a major international aviation and defense electronics company, will participate in the Indonesia Air Show 1996 on June 22 to June 30.
Advanced air traffic control systems, radar and satellite- based wide-area surveillance systems, state-of-the-art global positioning systems and some of the world's most sophisticated air defense missiles are just a few of the leading-edge products that will be exhibited by Raytheon.
The Massachusetts-based firm also plans to feature its Joint Primary Aircraft Training System at the show, an aircraft which will be the major training facility for the air forces of Britain and the United States.
Other defense equipment manufactured by Raytheon to be featured at the show will include the Hawk medium-range air defense system -- which provides vital defense capabilities to more than 18 countries around the world -- and the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile, which is used by the U.S. Air Force and Navy.
Some 257 parties from 21 nations will participate in the nine- day air show, which will also feature dynamic and static exhibitions and entertaining aerobatics teams. (icn)
